PowerEdge R710 : PERC H700 Single-bit ECC Errors
Dear support,
Our server (which is out of warrantly) shows the following message during Raid Controller bios boot :
Single-bit ECC errors were detected during the previous boot of the RAID controller.
Please contact technical support to resolve our issue.
We call the technical but the operator asks to post a message here to get technical support.
Could you help us to deal with this issue ?
The server has been restarted without any message and PERC status looks fine on OMSA.
Could we use our application without issue related to data corruption ?
Do we have to replace this part ?

Hi,
Please check first is PERC bios is up to date, if not, perform the latests update available and check into each of the release notes between the two versions if this kind of problem is mentioned.
I recommand you to pas all VD to write-trough mode instead of write-back to avoid any corruption of data.
If the upgrade fix the issue, rollback setting of VD. If not you have to replace the entire PERC H700, memory is not available as single component.
Due to age of the server, the support stock for PERC H700 is depleted.
Please contact our reseller to purchase this part : https://www.originstorage.com/dell/dell-product-portal-francais/
