my experience with the 2007wfp
Ordered the monitor tuesday this week, arrived 2 days later! very impressive start! I can tell you that i received a brandnew version a02 'made in the czech republic' Accessed the hidden menu to confirm with timer (had about 10 mins) all ok so far so good.
Then the disapointment set in! Colour banding visable!!!! Although i must admit not as bad as i thought and mainly when playing games, but still there i'm afraid. In gaming mode....FORGET IT!!!!!!! much much worse. I prob would of kept it except for one other issue, the matt screen coating!! I do not like it!!!! when displaying light images i was able to see the coating on the screen between the glass and the image. One thing i will say about the monitor that impressed me was the lack of backlight bleeding when displaying black background. It was like the monitor was turned off, its that good!
Anyways the monitor is going back i cant get on with the banding and matt type coatings. I'v been spoilt with glossy coatings, which to my eyes give me better contrast and colour vibrance. So i'v decided to go for the 'NEC LCD20WGX2' 20.1 widescreen LCD its £70 more but i think it will be worth it. I'm hoping the colour gradient will be better.
Just my 2 pence worth.
Cheers
