Exchange Backup Save Sets never starts
Greetings
Exchange 2010 on server 2008 R2
Networker 8.2.2.4, NMM client version is 8.2.3.
Typical increm exchange backup takes 20 min however. The following save sets hang and never starts.
VSS:/
APPLICATIONS:\Microsoft Exchange 2010
APPLICATIONS:\Microsoft Exchange 2010
I abort the backup in the morning after running for 14 hours. the results are above.

Even if I kill the process it will hang again on following day at the same time.

Try to implement some debug info to see where it hangs - I suspect it waits on VSS or something within Exchange, but to see what you might need to alter debug level of backup operation.

Hello,
had a similar issue with a save session hang on windows host.
Can you check in the task manager if you see any "nsrsnap_vss_save.exe" process running ?
try to kill it and restart your backup
