I currently have cable internet but noticed that our phone company is offering some pretty good deals on DSL. I am wondering how much difference there is and how much difference I might notice if I switched to the DSL. :smileyhappy: Thanks.
I believe (that some) DSL is slower; however, I also understand that it is "dedicated" and does not get subdivided. Cable, however, is relatively fast but a "trunk" (fiber cable run and switch operated by the cable company) capacity gets sub-divided based on how many are connected and in use at a given time. The first person has a blast; when the second is connected, capacity is cut in half; when third, in thirds; when fourth, in quarters. I am sure this is over-simplified. In any case, the provider is interested in getting business from you and me to provide a steady stream of money / income.
A while ago I downloaded an
Online Poker software, at that same time I had cable internet and I had no problem to play it online. I changed with no special reason to DSL and I played another poker program that's called
Omaha Poker and tried to play it online and I had problems playing it, what do you think I should do next. Should I change back to Cable? And what do you think are the reasons for that to happened.
