I have a Inspiron 9400/E1705 laptop with the Dell Wireless 1500 802.11n WLan card when I try to use the utility I get an error message that the internal settings are bad and to restart the computer to fix. It does not fix this. I am currently using the windows wireless to control the card. Is there a way to fix this, It used to work fine just when I downloaded the R151519 update now even when I use a previous update I still get this error. Thanks for any help with this. The driver is Broadcom dated 10/12/2006 version 4.100.15.5
I have dell 6400 Inspiron. My dell WLAN card utility is not working . when I tried to open it I got the same message as Rob did. This started happening after I updated the latest driver ( R140747) from Dell site. Intel pro set( 3945 ABG) shows no wireless network during scanning. Manual diagnostic tool fails at "Scan Test". I have AVAST antivirus free version in my system. Anybody knows how to resolve this issue.
