Ethernet Control Not working
Hey Guys
I just got my Laptop and I had to format it because I need to Install XP Prof but I didn't relize that I didn't get the Dribver CD with my Laptop. Now I have tried to download the proper driver from Dell website but I still can't get the Ethernet Control to work. I have downloaded the following driver
But the Ethernet Control i still not working. WHY???
To start with, remove the ethernet adapter, since that is what you are trying to get to work. If you later find that other devices don't work because you didn't install the chipset drivers first, then you will have to remove those devices, reboot, and reinstall the drivers for those devices.

OK I have remove the Ethernet Control driver but I didn't remove the Chipset driver because you didn't tell me too. Once I Unistall this ethernet driver then I going to install the following ethernet driver correct???
Please Note that all the other Drivers are working properly exept this ethernet control.

Did you install the chipset drivers as the first device drives installed after reinstallation of Windows? These must be installed first, or Windows may get confused and not properly install the other device drivers. Is your computer the Inspiron 600m?
