So I own an XPS m1530, and until last night it was been running great. Last night when I logged in, however, the screen stayed black  (after putting in my password and all). So I just restarted it by holding the power button, and then same problem occurred. I tried a second time with the restart and on the third attempt at logging in it worked and my Desktop showed up, and all appeared to be normal.

My problem now is my Network and Connections. I have AIM set on auto-connect, and that works just fine. But my wireless signal says it is not connected, and whenever I attempt to open the network center to connect to a network, or repair the problem, any Windows manager appears blank, and I'm unable to close them - I'm not even able to do a system restore.

I ran a disk check this morning but that had no success, and I have no other ideas other than reimaging my entire laptop, which I'd like to avoid doing. Any help would be fantastic.

*Also, I'm not completely computer stupid, but I'm no genius either :) Please keep that in mind
