Using PPTP with a 2300 wireless router

Just bought this router.  Can connect to the Internet fine.  However, when I try to VPN to my corporate network, I get an error that it cannot find our VPN server.  Everything with the connection is configured correctly and I can connect without the router in-between the PC and the modem.

Checked the router manual and it says it supports PPTP, L2TP etc.

Is there a setting somewhere in the router configuration that would block this connection? Is support of PPTP enabled by default?

I've been warned that wireless routers are notorious for this kind of problem, hope I'm wrong.

I believe the 2300 does not support VPN - search the forum to confirm this.  Many have tried.....

There was an earlier thread in which the possibility of an address range conflict between the DHCP client range used by the TM2300 (192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0) and an office network was raised. The user that started the thread confirmed that there was a conflict, but never reported back on the results of changing the 2300 to a different private network.

P.S. I found the thread via Google Advanced Search for 2300 vpn site:forums.us.dell.com in 0.07 seconds!

What kind of VPN is the one you are connecting to? Are you sure its PPTP or L2TP...
