Hi Chaps!
I just received and setup my new Dell 7080 Micro form factor. Very happy with it. I'm a digital nomad and purchased a Dell U2720Q to partner it. The U2720Q has an inbuilt PSU rather than an external power brick and is nice and light. I chose this pairing because the U2720Q can supply up to 130W via USB-C.
So, I ticked the option for the USB-C Alternate mode port on the 7080 thinking that "alternate" meant power delivery as an alternate mode to USB data. And I may have been wrong!
Would someone please confirm that the optional USB-C alternate mode port on the 7080 micro is unsuitable to receive Power Delivery?
And since dell don't make an adapter (they make one going the other way), would this be a functioning work-around:
It's the data pin in the middle that I'm concerned about, although I have disabled in BIOS the errors concerning power delivery.

The monitor allows you to charge your notebook or mobile devices through the Thunderbolt 3 active cable even when the monitor is powered off.

On the front of the chassis, the bottom port is the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port with PowerShare. The one above is USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. On the back the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port with Smart Power on is the first one on the left. Also, on the back the 2 on the right are USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.
