400 SC Internet Connection
I just received two 400SCs. I have installed Win XP on both. XP did not install the network card, so I loaded the drivers from the cd included with the 400SC. I cannot connect to the internet with it. I tried creating a new connection, but that doesn't work. It shows an icon for a LAN, but Internet Explorer cannot connect. Do i need to install differnet drivers or something?

What are the symptoms? Does ping cisco.com from the command line return anything? In Device Manager do you see a yellow "!" on your network adapter? If you are using the ethernet port built in to the motherboard, did you load the Intel Pro driver and not the Broadcom driver? What do you get if you type ipconfig /all at the command line? Is the local area network connection enabled or disabled (from Network and Dialup Connections, or whatever its named in XP)?
