We have a PE T410 running Server 2012 R2, but this will be EOL at the end of March and as we use some proprietary software, we are being advised that they may not be able to support any problems we have with Server 2012 R2, but when I looked to upgrade to Server 2019 or Server 2022 I could see that neither are supported on a T410.

My question is, a compatible Server will likely cost a lot of money and the server is not used as a Domain Controller just a network sharing device for a database, so could we use a powerful workstation, if so which models would support Server 2022 Standard, but if we have to use a server, which would be the cheapest to buy.
