My workstation is a Precision T3500.

After the exchange of the CPU the following error was displayed:

Powerbutton (amber,steady)
Numbers 2,3,4 (green,flashing)
After a few seconds all fans running on full speed

This seems to me to be the error code pb7

Even when I reinstalled the previous CPU, the error persisted.

I carried out a number of actions:

- cleared the cmos settings

- pulled step by step from motherboard all cards, video cards, CPUs, memory sticks.

The error persisted.

It seems that the motherboard doesn't want to enter the bios mode.

Since I really only exchanged the CPU - there are some questions for me.

What does the error code pb7 mean in detail?

Did I unfortunately bend a contact on the CPU socket during installation?

Did a defective CPU kill my mainboard?

Right now, I don't have any ideas. Maybe one of you has another idea?
