I've just got a new laptop - it only has USB 3 ports on it and its running Win 8.1.

When I plug in my Dell 2130CN USB cable the OS recognises the printer but it doesn't work and Windows troubleshooter says 'USB Printing Support is an older USB device and might not work with USB 3.0' and then says 'USB Printing Support can't work properly with USB 3.0'.

I've downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the printer, deleted it an reconnected, but its still not working.

Any suggestions on how I can get this working?

Alternatively, I could connect the printer to our network router, is that the easiest way to do this?
