Winword.exe error

Does anybody know what to do when Winword.exe comes up?

Winword.exe is Word. What is wrong? More info needed to help.

It occours only when we're trying to send the document as a attachment

then the following error comes up:

Winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed now.......

i've tried to delete the normal.dot file renamed the normal.dot to oldnormal.dot but the problem hasn't been solved this way

help!!!
