Adding a SATA drive with XP already installed

Hi people. I have a dimmension running Vista, but I would like to take my old SATA drive out from my old PC and put into this other PC. My question is, my old drive already has XP on it and works fine, so can I just plug it in the spare slot in my PC running vista and maybe select which drive to boot from, as I dont really want to format my other drive with XP or maybe just access my files on my old drive? Thanks in advance. Dave

What you want to do will not work.  The system will see the older drive
but will not be able to run the Windows XP on it.
