Hi,

I have an E520 w/ a 16x NEC DVD+-RW ND-3650A.  I use Roxio to burn DVDs.  I have lots of time so I never pay much attention to the burning speed.  But today I noticed while burning to a TDK DVD-R 16x, Roxio says Target speed 16x and it only burned at 4.3x so it was slow.  Is there a setting in Roxio or on my computer to optimize the speed?  Also does it make a different what speed it burns at?

Comcast Cable Modem to Alpha Shield firewall to Netgear Router. Wireless to Inspiron 6000 & 1501 and wire to Dim E520.
