Installing 80GB HD
I bought a 80 GB seagate HD for my dimension 4400. I pulled the old HD out and installed the new one. Then i restarted the computer and ran the floppy installation of the new drive. When that was done i restarted the computer with a boot disk since i didnt have any CD ROM support and it couldnt find any drivers for the new drive. Now when i try to turn the computer on i get a black screen with the cursor blinking at the very top left hand side. I have to keep turning the computer on and off till the DELL logo appears so that i can go into setup. Im not sure as to what caused this problem nor how to fix it. I also tried to install the old drive back and it still wont recognize the drive. Any ideas?
