G3 3779 Problem: Why does Support Assist keep proposing the same update?

Support Assist keeps proposing the same update:
Intel Chipset Device Software Driver
Version: 10.1.17541.8066

Category: Chipset
Release Date: Wednesday, April 04, 2018
Last Updated: Friday, March 29, 2019
Importance: Recommended
File Format: Update Package for Microsoft® Windows®
File Name: Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-Driver_691VF_WIN_10.1.17541.8066_A00.EXE
File Size: 14.09 MB

After clicking INSTALL, supportasist stucks on "Downloading" forever.Capture1.PNG

When updating through "Drivers and downloads page", updating process seems to work but also after it, the same driver is being kept to propose.Capture2.PNG

While downloading and trying to install manualy, it shows unexpected error.Capture3.PNG

Strange thing that on driver details page the driver date is 04 Apr 2018, while installing manually it shows date February 14, 2018.Capture4.PNG

While regedit shows that thhis driver is already instoled:Capture5.PNG

    Thank you for the answer.

After some time Support Assist stopped showing the need of this update.

What is the best way to uninstall this driver ? and obviously reinstall. I am having the same issues, Dell SupportAssist keep asking a new driver found to install every time I restart the computer.

    Is this issue now resolved?

I checked SA for new updates and there is (version 3.3.3.). Download det new file and run as admin before trying to uninstall your current version. That may solve your problem.
