SupportAssist for Home PC's not working for over a week. Keep getting message "We are updating SupportAssist. Close this window and try again later. "

i just fixed this for myself today and would like to share the solution. i uninstalled and reinstalled SupportAssist using the Dell Accepted Solution here https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/supportassist-for-pcs/supportassist-is-not-working/647f95f5f4ccf8a8de899393 and it seems to be working fine (for now)
