IT assistant customization with SQL Server and new fields.
Hi all.
I have 2 questions
1. Is there any document where I can find a way to customize the views in the Dell Open Management Assistance interface?. I need a way to add more information to this servers like application that are hosting, location in the data center, employee responsible for the equipment, etc.
2. Is there a way to invoke the URL directly without having to navigate through the menu?.
To use the Server Administrator through a url you will type https://(ipaddress of the machine):1311, and you will be able to connect to the server that is hosting server administrator without having to go through the menu.
Thanks a lot for your information, that was exactly what I was looking for.
I'm not sure I explain myself correctly on the last question, let me try to re-phrase it.
The way to open OpenManageIT assistance is going through Start/Programs/DellOpenManageApplication/ITAssistant/etcetc and select IT Assistant. This is going to open the interface where you can see all the alerts and the servers list. My question is: Is there a way to access this information through an URL.?.
We are planning to create a portal with all the servers information and we want to add the information that we have in ITAssistant adding just a link to it. Is there a way to do this?.
If you plan on intergrating IT assistant with your SQL database. Then you should be able to link straight to your SQL and recieve the information from there.

Hi ,
Here are some links to the open manage white papers. The last one is a very good article on how to intergrate IT assistance with your SQL database.
