Hi team, I installed EMC Unity Appliance on my Lab setup to test .During initial configuration, it’s prompting License key to enter, So is there any trail License Key to register to use product for test ? I've followed the instructions on
www.emc.com/getunity to request a license key with no luck page says I am not connected - check Network - no idea what's that Thanks
For all Dell EMC Unity Products except the community edition, A license must be purchased through the Dell EMC Sales team (may already be part of the sales order). Once a license is purchased, the user should receive an email with License Authorization Code (LAC) number.
The user needs to follow the instruction on the email to activate the license (one time). Once activated, the user can download the license file anytime (text file with details about licensed product, license key). Direct link will be provided on the email.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Anyone can get a free license. You may need to register first, if you do not have an account already but this will be prompted from this same link: https://dell.to/2yPmzm8
Once your account is created then you can go to the following link and get your license. https://dell.to/383Xn88
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Have you tried to use a different browser?I was able to use your UUID and get the download to start. Are you logged in to the license site when trying to get the download?
We are working on fixing this issue as we are aware that many customers are affected by the site not being up and working. I am actively checking and trying to get a resolution to this issue.
We have previously fixed the site a few different times over the last 2 years. We are working to resolve the latest issue that has caused the site to not be available.
Have you tried the following steps to try to get your license.
The workaround for getting the UnityVSA Community Edition trial license is to open a Service Request with License Operations.
Licensing Service Request for UVSA CE Trial License:
Customer (internal or external) opens a Licensing Service Request.
1. There are 3 ways to open a Service Request:
By visiting https://dell.to/3v4fF6V and using the Live Chat. The Chat Team will assist the requester to create a Ticket.
A Service Request can be opened on the Support Site by selecting "Create a Service Request" and providing all the relevant information required to address the request.
Contact the Dell EMC Support Line by calling 800-782-4362, option 4, option 4, (at any time) and they will assist you and/or create an SR on your behalf.
2. Information needed in the Service Request:
Software Part Numbers – 456-110-674 UnityVSA CE 4TB=IC
Quantity/Capacity – Qty 1
3. Machine information: UUID
4. Site Info
5. If this is a Dark Site, please inform Licensing of this
6. Reason for trial license = UVSA CE Trial License Website is down
We are still working to resolve the website issue. If you can send me a private note with your SR# I can send it over to our license team to try & get you your license.
