Unity Management port Question
Hello Everyone!
Can I ask you a few questions?
some may be basic but I am confused about the management port in Unity Storage.
1. Unplugging the management port in the SAN config does not affect the service, but even in the case of NAS config, disconnecting the management port does not affect the service??
2. It is best not to remove the management ports If I remove the management port from the sync and async config, what will happen to each replication??

Hi,
Thanks for your question. Which Unity device are you using? Usually you will want to put the management port on its own network so it isn’t affected by other traffic, so yes unplugging it should not affect anything else. If everything is working currently I wouldn’t remove it from the sync and async config.

And my reply is very late sorry..
Which Unity device are you using? -> My Unity Device is Unity300, Unity400 Device
If everything is working currently I wouldn’t remove it from the sync and async config.
-> Are you saying you wouldn't bother removing it if everything is working fine?
-> Can you explain detail on what could be the problem if you removed it when it worked normally?

Yes, I wouldn’t make changes if it is working. It just depends on how everything is configured, don’t want to end up with no management access after if it changes the way you can reach it.
