Hello, I am in need of help and following the advice of Bugbatter here on this forum I am posting a little detail and more importantly my hijackthis logfile.

 

Summary of my problem: -

• Popups from all angles warning of registry problems;
• Popups every 30 seconds or so warning of spyware, if I click yes to any of these they take me to the same websites as the shortcuts below;
• Shortcuts installed on to my desktop as follows:
  1. Error Cleaner (http://viruswebprotect.com/shandler.php?sid=0&aid=725&pn=0&said=6&sg=1)
  2. Privacy Protector (http://viruswebprotect.com/shandler.php?sid=0&aid=725&pn=0&said=6&sg=0)
  3. Spyware&Malware Protection (http://viruswebprotect.com/shandler.php?sid=0&aid=725&pn=0&said=6&sg=2)
• I have run McAfee but it fins nothing.
• I have run Windows Defender but it finds nothing.
• One pop-up mentioned the Worm "worm.win32.netbooster" and this does seem to be the problem from the research I have managed thus far.
• I not only get very frequent pop-ups, I get even more 'system alerts' that appear from my taskbar.  

 

I also have my wallpaper and desktop taken over with an awful red screen with a picture of something resembling a cross between a nucleur warning sign and six goathorns. This especially annoys me as my wallpaper was originally of my beautiful 7 week old baby daughter!!!

 

This is my business laptop and I am seriously concerned about any potential loss or corruption of data.
