As per the above syntax given in SE Guide , i tried to create some DATA Devs  with followinf command.

symconfigure -sid 1234 -cmd "create dev count=10,size=18414,emulation=FBA,config=RAID-5,attribute=DATADEV;" preview -v

I ended up with receiving following error.

    Error occurred while Defining change number 1:

    Invalid data member count supplied in create dev request see SYMAPI log file for more details

The command worked by adding  data_member_count  option.

symconfigure -sid 1234 -cmd "create dev count=10,size=18414,emulation=FBA,config=RAID-5,attribute=DATADEV,data_member_count=3;" preview -v

Is that a documentation error at SE Guide?

And also the above command works with/without providing a diskgroup.Any idea about the default diskgroup from where the devices will be created ,if we didn't provide the diskgroup information?
