i expanded a lun to a meta lun in navisphere. bu vmware does not recognixe this new size. what to do? i have data and live vms running on the lun

if you are on vSphere < 5 , VMFS limit is 2TB. If your LUN is greater than that you will need to use extents.
yes rescanned. this is 4.1 u1
its only a 300gb lun and i added 300 more.

in navisphere the metalun status is expanding.
is that the reason? how long does that take?
Block size is too small, could that be the issue ?
when i go to increase size in vsphere. I am not even seeing the additional space from the metalun. but it does show up as an extent

ahh..you did striped meta. It depends what the priority is and how busy RG/SP is.

what is the difference btw concat and stripe? metalun is not samme as extents right? anything cons about metalun for vmware?
