Hi friends,

      I have an urgent requirement for migrating data from VNX to Celerra (Not sure why the client is going for VNX to Celerra rather than to another VNX). We are having CIFS, NFS and multiprotocol file systems.All these are on physical data movers, no VDMs in the configured in the box. Data is to be transferred over WAN. I am referring to the EMC documents for preferable methods and to know the challenges. At the same time, I would be very happy if someone can help me with some recommendations and answers to my below queries.

1. Challenges in migrating data from a system with newer code to an older one ( 7.0.54-3 to 6.0.61-0 )

2. What will be the preferable method for migrating multiprotocol file systems ?

3. How painful is moving all the CIFS servers to VDM (duration and risks).
