Backing up on to CD/DVD's

I am trying to back up Microsoft Money on to a CD-RW but I get the message "You do not have permission to save in this directory.  See the administrator to obtain permission".  I have checked the "User Accounts" in the Control Panel and it tells me that I am the Administrator! What do you suggest I do please?

You can't copy the program, but you can copy the files that you made with it. You should have a CD that came with your computer to reinstall Money. Here are the instructions on how to backup your files in Microsoft Money.
    Hope this helps.

I use Quicken, when I back up I have to first save it to a folder on the hard drive, then copy that folder to cd . . Maney may be the same.

Thanks for your reply.  I had already tried instructing the machine to backup the data file to a writable CD but nevertheless followed the link and instructions you gave in case I had missed something but it took me the same route.  I never had this trouble before when I was backing up to a floppy disk. The error message asks me if I would like to save in the My Documents folder instead and I always say Yes, but this is not the answer because I want to back up on a removeable disc.  I really would like to get this sussed!

Thank you so much.  It worked!  So easy when you know how!  Thanks again!
