Driver Installation after reformat

Hey, so I have an Inspiron E1505 with XP Pro. I reformatted it and reinstalled all of the drivers off of the webpage. When I go to Device Manager, it shows four components that it says are still missing drivers: Base System Device (three times), and Network Controller. Did I miss a step somewhere? I seem to have mostly full functionality except for the wireless card. Thanks.

Sounds like you didn't install the chipset driver.  That should have been done first before any of the others.

Hey, thanks for your input. I redid it with the chipset driver first and it fixed everything except for the issue with the wireless network card, and I still have Network Controller listed as uninstalled under Device Manager. I do have my wireless card driver installed. Any more suggestions?

Did you install the network drivers?

Which ones are those? I installed drivers for the ethernet card, which works fine, and then the wireless card, which does not. Is there anything else?

Which wireless card do you have?  There are several wireless networking card drivers for your model listed in the networking driver download area.

Yeah, after I got the chipset installed in the right order, the problem ended up being that I thought I had one wireless card, but I actually had a different one. It is all working now. Thanks for your help.
