Formatting computer

I'm finally giving up. My computer took on heavy damage from viruses (trojans, backdoors, spyware) and now nothing is linking: I cannot open any files on the computer. I'm lucky I can even get online. My question is how do I format. I cannot remember how to get to the Dos screen. I believe its Fdisk that i need to use once i get there. Any info would be great.

Thank-you

Boot up and when you see f2 hit f2 and go into your setup and make sure booting sequence is set to boot to cd then go out and re re boot with your reinstalltion disk in your dvd drive or cd drive which ever you have then the process will start. you really do not have to do an f disk windows xp will take care of that.

You do not use DOS for XP . . You can get a reinstallation guide specific to your Dell here

This is a great guide for reinstalling on a Dell:  http://www.djdenham.com/Install%20Procedures.htm

    Thanks a lot
