If you do not have the Dell cd's, you will have to purchase another copy of the Operating System if it can be found. eBay maybe.

 

Why are you considering re-installing the OS?  and what OS is it?

I am still running Windows 98SE.  Who ever installed this software didn't install everything that I need installed.  I can't even install RealArcade to play my games.

You are going to have to find an old W98SE disc somewhere, they are cheap on eBay.

With 96 MB RAM, you are at a minimum for using Windows 98.  Games will run slowly if at all.  If you need a computer to answer Email, it will work as is.  You haven't said so, but I expect that your hard drive is barely adequate and does not have much room for new programs, partcularly these days when programmers have giant hard drives to work with. The entire computer is not worth much.  Any new $399 computer will out perform it.  It isn't worth spending much on it..
