I have an old Dimension 4100 Series desktop 

Pentium III Proc 256 MB SDRam at 133MHz 866 MHz, 

US Robotics V.90/56K Moden,

40GB Ultra ATA hard Drive 7200RPM with 25 GB free,

32MNVIDIA TNT2 M64 APG graphics,

48xMax Variable CD Rom

8x/4x/32x CD-RW

. 

I want to clean install Windows XP on this system for my grandchildren and a second computer.  Will I have any problems doing this?  Will I delete ME after XP is installed or before?  I am moving all my files to new laptop.

 

I do have one problem with my old system.  I have trouble sending email on my primary user account in OE.  It says my file is corrupt.  Sometimes it sends and sometimes it does not.  How can I transfer OE to my new laptop without this corrupt file?  I really need all my saved genealogy folders  from OE.  What can I do to correct this problem.
