Hi. For the past week or so, my family has been unable to connect to the internet. We have a cable connection provided by Adelphia.
My computer has on it five users: Myself, my mother, my father, my brother, and my sister. The four of them are unable to access the internet in any form. Not AOL, Internet Explorer, not even through the multiplayer of a video game. That's right, I said them. For some reason unkown to us, my Windows username still has full access to the internet.
It's not a problem with AOL, because all five of us can log onto our AOL names as long as we are on my Windows username, yet no one can log onto their AOL name when on another Windows user.
When trying to access AOL (Version 8.0) on any of their four windows usernames, we get :
Attempt 1) [ISP/LAN Connection] We were unable to connect to AOL. Attempt 2) [ISP/LAN Connection] We were unable to connect to AOL. Attempt 3) [ISP/LAN Connection] We were unable to connect to AOL. Attempt 4) [ISP/LAN Connection] We were unable to connect to AOL. Attempt 5) [ISP/LAN Connection] We were unable to connect to AOL.
When trying to use IE, the 'Page cannot be displayed' message appears.
It's obviously not a problem with the internet connection, as I can get it just fine. I think it has to be something with either my system or Windows.
