so i just bought a new game, and it says i need SP4.... i have windows xp, and SP2.....so i attempted to download SP4 from microsofts website....its on my computer...but my system information still says SP2...and my game isnt working yet... any ideas? thanks!
You need to determine what the SP4 pertains to. There is no service pack 4 for Win XP, though there will soon be a service pack 3. Windows 2000 has a service pack 4, but it should refuse to install on a Windows XP system.
i'm trying to run jeopardy deluxe.. requirements are--- Minimum System Requirements Windows®: Windows 2000 SP4/XP (Home and Pro) SP2/Vista™¹ 900 MHz Pentium processor (or faster) 128 MB RAM 40MB free hard drive space 8X CD-ROM (or faster) 16-bit graphics & sound DirectSound-compatible Sound Card Open GL compatible Video Card ¹Administrator privileges are required to properly install the program on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Macintosh®: Mac OS® X v10.3.9 to later PowerPC G4/G5 or Intel Mac 256 MB RAM 50 MB of free hard disk space 4X CD-ROM drive or faster 800x600 color display with thousands of colors or better Standard Macintosh sound, keyboard and mouse. i saw XP and thought it should work on my computer? was I wrong? i've never had luck with buying games...but my husband really wanted this game... help! thanks so much!
so i searched for the game online...and apparently there was a dated bug in the game that prevented it from loading all the way...so i downloaded a patch for it from the game website....it now works great! thanks! :)
