windows xp professional

I forgot my windows password and my laptop wont let me in, and I misplaced my restore dics what do I do know?

Get another set or Hit F11 at POST and run Safe Mode, log on as the Administrator with a blank password and then chnage your password within the Control Panel/Users applet.

login to windows using safe mode... you'll find an ADMINISTRATOR login... this does not have a password (unless you setup this with) and just remove your account in control panel-->user account... you can create a new account and delete your previous account... hope this will help.

You just told this person to delete their User Account which will also delete their data. Please sir do not do this. Just reset the password.

sorry... its better to reset... i thought resetting the account will ask for your previous password. sorry bout that...
