Blank Screen on HTC

I am using PocketCloud to connect to trading software located on a VPS. All the companion software has been loaded and set up as necessary. This issue is that I can only see the desktop on my HTC if the window is also open on my desktop via the Remote Desktop Connection. Once I close the VPS window on my desktop, it also becomes inaccessible on the HTC. Any help is appreciated.
