I have the exact same ssue. This is the worst monitor that I have ever seen or owned. I am so disappointed. If we don't have this resolved this will be the last Alienware product that I buy. I previously had the 34" version and it was almost perfect! I honestly hope that it is a matter of configuration or possibly a firmware update.
According to the current settings it should be (I don't trust it) running at 4K and 144Hz refresh rate with HDR on. When I look at the amount of ghosting I can't believe that it is even close to 144Hz. It looks more like 20.

BTW have tried to change the "Response Time" from "Extreme" to "Fast"? This seems to make a noticeable difference in the correct direction. The monitor is still bad but at least your eyes are going last longer.
