Fn,F1-F7, left Ctrt and windows key not responding.

Laptop is Alienware area 51m R1, RTX 2080, I9-9900K.

Before yesterday everything was fine, then suddenly i found myself unable to adjust volume and light using fn+f4 etc.

After some testing i find those keys to be not responding.

Purchasing Dell has been a bad experience, this machine costed me 35K GBP and not it keeps giving me trouble.

Hi @pxle  seems a bad Windows Update install has changed your Area-51m R1 settings. If Restore enabled, try going back to an earlier Restore point that this was not a problem. Or try Check Disk, to see if these Windows OS settings can be reinstated.

Many thanks for the advice. Bad news from me. I did try restore the entire windows but it never fixes anything. I put in like 4 hours uninstalled and reinstalled everything, exhausted myself at the end.

Hi @pxle  thank you for sharing update. Using local admin account, did you run Check Disk (the most powerful Windows trouble shooter) to try and correct the Windows 10 OS for you?

Hi @pxle consider installing the Ultimate Windows Tweaker which puts Restore, Check Disk, etc. in one easy trouble shooting window for the user.
