I have received this email from a personnel by the email Vani.S@dell.com after purchasing my laptop online. 

Dear   SOVANN EU,

Thank you for choosing Dell. This email is in reference to your recent purchase with Dell. We request you to verify your purchase information by replying from your work or student email address with the bank registered address mentioned for the order number ___. Please note that failure to contact us may result in cancellation of your order. We apologize for any inconvenience caused as Dell is committed to providing a safe and secure shopping experience for our customers.

I have double checked the order number and it is correct, but when I check my order status, it is already confirmed. So I am still a bit suspicious of the identity of this person and the credibility of its request. 

My question is:

1). A scam or valid email?

2). What is the email requesting for? Can you paraphrase it?
