FS7610 with EQL PS6510 storage
Hi,
How does FS7610 utilize PS6510 storage wrt presenting shares. Is it a 1-1 mapping of EQL volume to FS share or can FS present multiple (e.g dozens) of EQL volumes as a single share.?
thx

If a FS7610 join to an existing EQL Group it request the "NAS Reserve" as usable Storage. Its some kind of a special volume and you will see a different icon/color style. You cant "edit" this special volume.
Based on this NAS Reserve you will create one or more containers within the FS. The containers are a abstraction layer because some settings can be only specify on a container like
- Snapshots (schedule). FS use its own Snapshots!!
- Permission Mode (CIFS, NFS or Mixed)
.....
Within a container you will create "unlimited" number of shares which can be access by your Clients.
What i dont know is the following:
- Is the NAS reservice comming from one pool or it is possible to request storage from different pools.
