Inspiron 5680, GPU upgrade
Is there a way I can upgrade my GPU? If so, which ones are compatible with my desktop?

In other news, i might possibly go for a GTX 1660 ti, since my CPU is a i5 8400 and i fear i might suffer a bottleneck.
I don't really know if a GTX 1080 could possibly handle it given the specs.

All up to GTX1080TI work fine in Dells with proper power supply.
RTX series and ATI R series dont work at all in older dells due to not supporting MSDOS VESA video mode 103.

I truly appreciate all the info i can get, nonetheless, i would like to have a final opinion on what you guys think about this: GTX 1660.
In the GPU above the recommended PSU is a 450W, i don't think i will run into trouble with it, but just in case, i would like your opinion.

Power supplies are not a single spec of Watts.
How much power is on each rail matters.
Non dell cards will require secure boot to be OFF.
In an older dell 1660 is a non starter. Won't ever work. Same is true for R series Radeon Cards. 1660 TI has 8 pin connector minimum meaning its a 300W card. Do you really think 460W is enough?
Delta N1WJD DOES NOT COME WITH CABLES.
Buyer Beware: do not purchase or confuse 'Area-51 850w cables', only buy Aurora case harness cables which are sized for your smaller computer case.

I don't really get why it wouldn't work.
I saw a review of the GPU as well as the official page of the product and it says that a 450w PSU would work just fine.

And you can find more successful cases in latter pages. I believe it should be fine with yours as well.

Hi @EmptyPools ,
Lots of choices, from GTX 1050 to the latest RTX 2080 ti, or AMD RX series as well. Check out UserBenchmark: Dell Inspiron 5680 Compatible Components with GPU score and choose one that fits your needs and budget.
Meanwhile, make sure the power supply meets GPU's requirement. Stock PSU for 5680 at 460w, and certified to run with Dell OEM cards up to GTX 1080, acknowledge here. But if you are targeting on other power-hunger retail cards, you may need a higher wattage PSU, say a Dell OEM 850w PSU with part number N1WJD.
