my Dell inspiron 3525 15r purchased 2013 running W8.1

my batter either; detected and charging for only short period of time or Plugged in n not charging or just not recognised at all.

ive followed as many instructions to resolve my issue but no joy.

ive even purchased new battery but no joy.

im unable to enter Bios as detection of battery needed.

does anyone have any further suggestions please?
