Go to SolutionG3 3579 firmware fail update
Hi, so i have this problem and still unable to find new solutions on the community
So my G3 3579 currently have firmware 0.1.13.0 (03/07/2020) and have critical update according to Dell Update App, firmware 0.1.16.0 and when I try to install , the app said failed to install and same thing when I try it again
Then I try to look it up on windows update and it able to download it and requires me to restart my laptop, so I did. But, after i restart my laptop, the BIOS said "firmware update failed. rebooting your system". and when I get back to windows the critical update is still there and windows will always try to update the firmware whenever I restart/shut down my laptop
Please help

Update won't install through windows updates, But Microsoft Keeps pushing it.
Go to settings > windows updates
Pause windows updates.
Run the troubleshooter and hide the windows update showing Firmware
https://m.majorgeeks.com/files/details/microsoft_show_or_hide_updates_troubleshooter.html
This will sort your windows updates issue.
Now personally I won't recommend forcing a BIOS update if your machine is out of warranty. Any thing goes wrong and it can brick your Motherboard, so unless you are facing an issue which can be fixed only via BIOS update, please leave it.
In order to update BIOS you can try this
If you have Bit Locker enabled, please disable Bit Locker prior
attempting an update
Now coming back to BIOS update.
1. Try Force update : Download BIOS File and rename it BIOS.exe
Open command prompt and navigate to the folder where BIOS.exe is located
Run command bios.exe /forceit
2. Try a BIOS Flash update via USB : F12 > BIOS flash update
3. Last option prior seeking a Motherboard replacement from Dell : BIOS Recovery
Use second method with latest BIOS file downloaded from support site.
