USB 3.0 ports exceptionally tight
Hi everyone,
I have recently purchased a new laptop Inspiron 15 3520. I noticed what many customers reported about other models: very tight USB 3.0 ports.
What also concerns me is that this product I received has two ports of this kind on both sides of the laptop that look different: the right one seems much tighter than the left one, up to a point that I really have to force the cables in and out, leaving two scratches on their metal plaque. While I know that maybe it is normal and they will loosen up over time, this difference between the ports and how much force is needed makes me wonder whether this is a defect.
So my question is: is it normal and can it damage the mother board over time?

È un'occorrenza abbastanza normale, ma vedrai che con l'utilizzo diventerà più semplice adoperarla.
La scheda madre non corre particolari rischi, ragionevolmente nessun rischio. Così come la porta in sé.
Chi rischia forte invece è l'eventuale periferica, non tanto i cavi, quanto le chiavette USB: più di una volta si è sentito di pennette spezzate nell'atto di rimuoverle da una porta troppo stretta. Non danneggia la porta, ma addio chiavetta.
Ti consiglierei di prestare un po' di attenzione nei primi tempi, non utilizzare lubrificante / grasso dielettrico come qualche pazzo propone. In fondo in passato le porte tendevano a divenire lasche con il passare degli anni, con pericolosi contatti instabili, in questo caso probabilmente si correrà meno rischi in tal senso.
