ETA 518924
Hello,
I am looking at this ETA notes and can't find anything that says what the permanent fix is. Surely it's not the section in the ETA that says to disable Collect and Multiscan. Is there a fix for 8.0.x ?

So do we all have to open an individual SR to find out the details? I'm on v8.0.0.4 and was planning to stick to that line (upgrade this summer to v8.0.0.6 or whatever is currently Target Code at that time). If this issue can't be fixed in prior versions, is there confirmation that it is actually fixed in v8.1.0.2 (latest GA from the last software release doc) and that is the permanent solution?

what are the repercussions of not running a collect job until a fix is available ?
I understand autobalance can be used as an alternative to multiscan , is this right ?
we are planning to upgrade to 8.1.0.1 from next week onwards . please let me know if this issue is a show stopper

According to page 15 of https://support.emc.com/docu87518_Isilon-OneFS-8.1.1-Release-Notes.pdf
the issue has been fixed in 8.1.1.0
Isilon folks, is a backport for 8.0 on the way?
