charging issues Latitude E5530
i have a brand new battery i've installed in my Latitude E5530, but when i plug in my power cord, it is not charging the battery. i've tried the basics like uninstalling the 'microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery'. ive tried re-starting my laptop after removing the battery, holding the power button for 15 seconds and then restarting. i've even replaced the battery twice. it seems like it should be an easy fix, but i can't figure it out. any suggestions would help!!!!

Check in setup - F2 at powerup. If the AC adapter shows unknown, the battery won't charge (though the system will still run).
If that's the case and you haven't tried another OEM Dell adapter, that's next. If it too is not recognized, replace the DC jack:
