Touchpad BIOS options for Inspiron 8600
I have a Dell Inspiron 8600, and I've become increasingly annoyed with the tap-to-click feature with the touchpad. When looking through the BIOS, I noticed there was an option to disable the touchpad when an external PS/2 mouse was attached, but I doesn't seem to work for USB mice.
The laptop does not have a PS/2 port, so I can't check if the option works for that, and I don't have Windows installed, so I can't check if it only works in Windows.
Has anyone found a way to turn off either the tap-to-click functionality of the touchpad, or even the touchpad itself, under Linux?
