Alienware 13: Booting issues
Hi everyone,
I acquired an Alienware 13' and I'm already facing issues to boot the laptop.
When pushing the start button, the computer isn't starting (no light, no sounds, no first screen). The computer was plug on the charger and the charger on a multi-socket. I tried to unplug the charger but the computer was still not booting even after few minutes pushing hard on the start button, on both FN+start button, i still get nothing.
I decided then to connect the charger on a direct source of electricity (without the multi-socket) and it starts working after 2 min trying hard...
When the computer started, the battery was at 66% so it was normally able to work only on battery mode without the charger.
Is someone recently faced the same issue ? Is someone has any idea of the main reason for this problem ?
Thanks for your help solving this issue,
Edouard

Is this happening as well when you try to turn on the system only with the battery?
Hello Milena, thanks a lot for your message. The computer was able to start on battery, only when i was shutting it down on battery. If i was shutting it down on battery, i was facing the booting problem and it was taking 5-10 min to start by pushing a lot on the button.
I had to send the computer to the technical support as they were not able to fix the issue on the phone. Sad for a 2 weeks computer of 1400euros... And a bit pissed to not receive a goodwill gesture from Alienware for this issue!

Still facing the problem even when the charger is plug on direct source of electricity..
The laptop takes 3-5 minutes to start after multiple pressure...
