Alienware Aurora R3 upgrading
Hi, just to confirm, would it be possible to upgrade my current aurora r3's gtx 460 to a gtx 660 2gb and upgrade the current intel i7 2600 to a 2600k and overclock it, all while retaining the current 525watt psu?

Hi thanks for confirmation Rajath, but I have one more thing to ask. Is there a way to overclock my new processor to let say 4.2ghz with the alienware bios system and will the aurora r3 take 4x8GB 1600mhz ram sticks? Also would the "GTX 660 TI" work if I replaced my GTX 460 with it?

The GTX 660 ti uses 150W, the GTX 460 uses 160W, power will not be a problem. If you have the latest nvidia drivers then no need to even reinstall drivers.

Hi T3CH0G,
Yes, you can upgrade your current Aurora R3 to a GTX 660 2GB and to Intel i7 2600k retaining the current 525 Watts PSU. The system power requirements of GTX 660 2GB and Intel i7 2600k are same as GTX 460 and Intel i7 2600.
I hope the information provided is helpful. Please reply to this message if you need further assistance.
