Hi,

My pc is an Aurora ALX desktop. I've never used Alienware Command Control but recently had an issue, after installing Logitech Profiler, where it kept causing the PCI fan to keep turning high then off then high then off etc. which made me wonder if installing command Control to use the thermal control settings would allow me to control the fans more.

Worst mistake of my life. 

I installed the latest version available in my system's driver download page.

I rebooted then went to look at the fan settings. I switched to manual control to take a look, MADE NO CHANGES, and went back  to auto whereupon the fans started blowing full blast.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the CC (cleaning up all reg/file remains between installations), I've done countless "power drains" although what that does for a desktop I have no idea.

What can I do? I've googled this for hours now and it all seems to be caused by CC software being incompatible with win 8.1 x64.
