Driver blocked due to incompatility
When I start my computer, I get a message "Driver blocked due to incompatibility. A driver is installed that causes stability problems w/ your system. The driver will be disabled. Please contact driver mfg for an update that is compatible w/ this version of windows." The mfg is sonic solutions DLA. I have a Dell XPS710 32 Bit, Windows Vista home premium. I have been keeping up with the windows upgrade and recently noticed I was unable to burn CD and DVDs. So I uninstall my Roxio Creator & MyDVD 9.0 Premium. I reinstall this software disc which I purchased with my computer back in 2007 and hence been getting the above message. Does anyone understand my problem?

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, I went to Device Manager and was able to see DVD/Cd Rom drives were present. When you say DLA has long been unsupported, if I considered the roxio upgrade, would that more than likely resolve my problem? Would you consider an alternative software program? Thanks for the post.
Sonic DLA is a "Packet Writing" program - equivalents are Roxio "Drag to Disc" and in older Roxio "Direct CD". In Nero (a better alternative to Roxio) it's called InCD. Packet Writing is the least reliable method of CD burning and isn't really recommended. If you want to burn a data CD - use your regular Data CD burning function in Roxio (or whatever you use).

DLA has long been unsupported.
Are you able to see your optical drives in device Manager?
